Who we are

Clayworks Labs Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We create independent software, games and experiments, including music software under the CLYWRKS name. Our company details and contact information are on our contact and support page.

Information you give us

We receive information you choose to send when you email us, request support or join a mailing list. This may include your email address, message, product and device details, and any files or logs you attach. Please do not send information we do not need.

Apps and information on your device

Our products may store settings, progress, projects or other content locally on your device. Little Rituals does not upload its game progress to Clayworks Labs. Its storage, sharing and purchase practices are described below. Removing an app or clearing its storage may remove local information.

Product-specific practices are described below and in the relevant app-store privacy information. If a future product handles data differently, we will update this policy before that handling begins.

Websites, analytics and cookies

Our hosting and security providers may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps to deliver and protect our websites. Services used to deliver resources such as web fonts may receive similar request data.

The CLYWRKS website uses Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel to understand visits and marketing performance, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use its pages through interaction recordings and heatmaps. These services may process page views, clicks, scrolling, device and browser details, identifiers and approximate location, using cookies or similar technologies.

The CLYWRKS website also loads Lemon Squeezy’s affiliate script. When you follow an affiliate link, referral identifiers can be used to attribute a later purchase to that affiliate, as described in Lemon Squeezy’s referral documentation.

These website tools are separate from Little Rituals and do not run inside the app. Their providers describe their processing in the Google, Meta, TikTok and Microsoft privacy policies. You can manage cookies through your browser. Where consent is required, it must be obtained before non-essential tracking begins.

Email updates

We use Lemon Squeezy to send CLYWRKS product updates. These emails use an invisible tracking image and tracked links to report opens and clicks, which can be associated with your subscriber record. We use these reports to understand interest in our updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in each marketing email. Your email app may also let you block remote images to limit open tracking.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by the store or payment provider you use, such as Apple’s App Store, Google Play or Lemon Squeezy. Clayworks Labs does not receive your full payment-card details. We may receive order, product, licence, country or entitlement information needed to deliver a purchase, provide support, prevent fraud or keep legally required records. The provider handles its own data under its policy.

How we use and share information

We use information only as needed to provide products and purchases, respond to support, send requested updates, maintain security, understand our websites and email updates where permitted, and meet legal obligations. Depending on the context, we rely on performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests or a legal obligation.

We use providers for hosting, security, app distribution, payments, mailing lists and website measurement. This may include Cloudflare, Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy, Meta, TikTok and Microsoft. Little Rituals does not send game progress or answers to these providers; its store-related processing is described below. Providers handle information according to the service they supply and their terms and privacy policies. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect our rights, products or users.

Our providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their privacy policies describe their processing locations and the safeguards they apply to international transfers.

Retention, deletion and your rights

We keep support messages and related information only as long as reasonably needed to answer, maintain records or resolve issues. We keep mailing-list information while you are subscribed and may retain a limited record of your unsubscribe request to avoid sending you further marketing. Purchase and tax records may be kept where legally required. Local app data stays on your device until you remove it. Store and service providers apply their own retention periods.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email and manage cookies through available site or browser controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Email us to make a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the UK, this is the ICO.

Product notes

Little Rituals

Little Rituals (also referred to as Rituals) is a conversation game. It has no app account, developer server, advertising, analytics, tracking or remote crash-reporting service. Clayworks Labs does not collect your answers or receive your read history, favourites or shuffle choices.

Read history, favourites, shuffle choices, settings and verified purchase status are stored in the app’s protected storage on your device. Motion sensor readings are processed briefly on your device for shake controls and visual effects; the app does not retain or transmit them.

Sharing is your choice. The app creates a card image and passes it to your device’s share sheet. Clayworks Labs does not receive that image or learn who you send it to. The app or service you choose to share through handles it under its own privacy policy.

On iPhone and iPad, StoreKit communicates with Apple to load products, complete purchases and restore ownership. The app receives verified product, transaction and purchase-status information, but not your payment-card details. We do not operate a purchase server.

On Android, Google Play Billing communicates with Google to load products, process purchases and restore ownership. Its services may also process purchase history, interactions with store features and billing diagnostics. This processing is separate from the game’s local progress and is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

You can clear a deck’s answered history using its reset control. Deleting the app removes its local game data; device backups, if enabled, are managed separately through your device provider. Apple and Google retain store records under their own policies. There is no Clayworks Labs app account or server copy of your game data to delete. If you have emailed us, you can request deletion of that correspondence through our contact page, subject to any records we must retain by law.

CLYWRKS products

CLYWRKS desktop products keep projects and settings locally unless you choose to send information to support. Purchases and mailing-list sign-ups are handled through Lemon Squeezy. The CLYWRKS website uses the measurement technologies described above.
